Mike Huckabee's Very Stupid Comment About Recent Mass Killings

Amazing how some folks against stricter gun control laws will seek out other answers for the recent waves of mass gun killings besides the obvious that automatic weapons need to be banned.

Well Mike Huckabee dug deep, avoided the obvious reasons for the recent wave of shootings, and decided that because God was out of the schools carnage will continue.

When asked by Fox interviewer Neil Cavuto how could God let this happen, Huckabee responded

Well, you know, it’s an interesting thing. When we ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools have become a place for carnage because we’ve made it a place where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability? That we’re not just going to have to be accountable to the police, if they catch us. But one day, we will stand in judgment before a holy God in judgement. If we don’t believe that, we don’t fear that.

The good reverend turned politician, and now television entertainer really offered an explanation that no person burying a child, a parent or friend needed to hear.

The recent killings had nothing to do with a lack of discussion of God in the schools.
What was taught or not taught in the school had nothing to do with the young man’s actions.   Rather it was a deeply troubled crazy man who had access to some guns from his mother’s personal collection and for reasons God only knows decided to kill.

Using the lack of God in schools is skirting around the issues for the obvious need for gun control regulation. It is as if Huckabee and like thinking people believe that not regulating assault weapons is somehow divinely inspired.

The real problem is that assault weapons  are appearing every where and unless regulated will continue to be used in mass killings or homicides.

Perhaps people at Fox News need to start listening to their boss, Robert Murdoch who has acknowledged there needs to be the banning of automatic weapons.

Hopefully we as Americans don’t forget this tragedy and take the necessary steps to prevent to help reduce the chances of such a massacre from occurring again.

The necessary steps is to start contacting our elected representatives to begin the discussion at the federal and state levels for better gun regulations.
